About the Project
Overview: Project Safe Guard is a Department of Defense-funded research study, the aim of which is to learn more about the health and home safety practices of National Guard members. Essentially, we want to understand what Guard members do to keep themselves healthy and their homes safe. Our goal is to use this information to determine if making small changes that promote healthier/safer behavior can lead to better long-term outcomes and prevention of negative health/psychological outcomes among National Guard members. Our team is extremely passionate about using this information to help Guard members; however, we cannot do it without your help. We are hoping that Guard members will be motivated to help one another by participating in this study.
Details: Participating in this study takes less than 5 hours, spread out over the course of 6 months. Participants are asked to engage in a few one-on-one interviews/discussions with a team member and to fill out a few online surveys. Participants leave each session with an Amazon gift card (total $200). Here is a more detailed breakdown of what this looks like:
